Si-Gung Grand Master 9th Degree Henry Sue has studied and practiced Kung Fu and Tai Chi for more than five decades. To increase his knowledge and understanding, Grand Master Henry Sue has visited China on many occasions.

In 1999 he trained Tai Chi under the master of the 'Chen style'. He is one of the very few who understands the origins and practical uses this ancient martial art.

Through careful supervision, and implementation of stringent training standards, Grand Master Henry Sue has ensured that the Chinese
Kung Fu Academy maintains a high standard of excellence in all traditional aspects of the various Tai Chi styles.

The CKFA's Tai Chi schools throughout Australia are run by dedicated masters, who are personally taught by Si-Gung Henry Sue. The quality of their teaching is unsurpassed in quality and attitude.

Born in China in 1946. Immigrated to Australia in 1957. Commenced martial arts training (Praying Mantis Style of Kung Fu) at the age of 11 years in Brisbane with Master Nat Yuen, who was a 9th degree Gold Belt, the highest grade of his generation in Hong Kong.

1962 - Master Sue was presented with his red belt in Brisbane from Master Nat Yuen. After such time he taught at the Chinese Club of Brisbane in Queensland. At that time, only students of Chinese origin were accepted.

1966 - Master Sue returned to Hong Kong to train under Grand Master Ip Shui.

1967 - Established the Tong Long Kung Fu academy in Woollongabba, after being honoured with a second degree grading from Grand Master Ip Shui.

1973 - After 6 years of teaching, lectures and exhibitions of his art, a breakthrough came about with the official acceptance of all nationalities into the realm of Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. No Longer was it exclusive to the Chinese.

1977 - Received his 7th degree Gold Belt, bestowed upon him by master Nat Yuen. Also at that time, the Chinese Kung Fu Academy with Master Henry Sue as Principal.
Many Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu Clubs were established throughout Australia and overseas, which necessitated a need for forming a federation, to maintain the standard of Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu.

1986 - Master Nat Yuen came from Hong Kong to appoint Master Sue as president of the Australian Federation of Chinese Martial Arts.

1989 - The Gold Coast branch of the Chinese Kung Fu Academy was established.

1991 - The Australian Headquarters of Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu was established at Ashmore, on the Gold Coast.

1992 - The expansion of professionally run schools throughout South East Queensland and Coastal Regions North and South of Brisbane.

1995 - Grand Master Henry Sue was awarded his 9th degree Gold Belt in Hong Kong, the highest achievable grade in Tong Long Kung Fu.

Awarded the Sole Custodian of Dong gong Chow Gar Tong Long for Australia and recognised as a fifth generation disciple (highest degree in the western world)

1999 - Grand Master Henry Sue traveled to China to train under the master of the Chan Style Tai Chi style.

2002 - Grandmaster Henry Sue officially announces his own unique form of Southern Praying Mantis after decades of adding new elements to the style with the help and encouragement of his Master Dr Nat Yuen and names the style "Dong Gong Chow Gar Shoalin Wushu"
